My Programming Experience
During my studies, I learned to program with C# in Unity and GML in Game Maker. Since then, I decided to focus on becoming a programmer. During our projects, I finished many programming tasks that I will show below. I see programing as a useful skill to have. Both as a creative tool and a way of looking at problems in different ways. I enjoy programmig and I am very eager to tackle the next upcoming challenges and projects.

01
Microdrill Level
The Archivist
One of the main mechanics of The Archivist was to investigate items that are brought to the Archive. During this level, the player uses their Microdrill to remove samples from a Chainball and collect them by moving a collection tube.

-
Player movement.
-
Different specific 'quests' or objectives to complete.
-
Object interactions.
-
Visual effects and sound implementation.

02
Investigation Level
The Archivist
The second main mechanic I developed this block was about investigating an old document with a magnifying glass. The player can zoom into the document to search for specific words, which will reward the player with Samples when clicked on them. If the player fails to click on the correct words, the item's condition will go down.

-
Object-follow-mouse type of movement.
-
Different specific 'quests' or objectives to complete.
-
Improved after Usability Test (difficulty).

03
Diegetic Objective Tracker
The Archivist
I created an interactive and transparent UI element that tracks the player's objectives and progress. It also serves as a way of discovering the item's hidden traits, and it merges with the atmosphere of The Archivist.

-
Transparent and thematic.
-
Changes depending on which level you are (easily adaptable).
-
Reactive interface: fail and win objectives. Gain extra loot when you win an objective.
04
UX and UI
The Archivist, Dorm Dilemmas
During my projects I created and coded many different menus such as Main Menu for two projects, Pause menu, Win and Lose menu and dynamic tutorials.

-
Dynamic and transparent tutorials.
-
Menu functionalities
-
Counters, objectives and win conditions.

05
Visual Effects and Sounds
The Archivist, Dorm Dilemmas
I worked alongside the sound department in The Archivist to implement a variety of sound effects using programming. I also modified and implemented many different visual effects for the game.

-
Sound triggers.
-
Dialogue recording and implementation.
-
Visual effect modification and triggers.
